I
came to Homeopathy from a background in Religious Studies and Performance
Art. Strange you think stepping into the role of healer from such a place
– but in my path it has made perfect sense.
I
spent a great deal of time studying eastern and mystical practices and
traditions – the vast majority of them based on healing, not only
the body but the mind and spirit as well; not only the individual but
community, society, and the earth.
In
my own quest to heal myself I dabbled in many arts: Yoga, Meditation,
Tai Chi, Music, Chanting, Shamanism. I acquired a great deal of learning
and wisdom from these traditions but it wasn’t until I discovered
Reiki that my true path to healing began to manifest.
After
suffering from a serious injury while tracking through the Himalayas I
found the magic of Reiki and used it to accelerate my healing. I then
continued to study the practice of Reiki and received my Reiki Master
Attunements in 2001 in Pune India.
As
my travels continued I was introduced to Homeopathy. One morning I awoke
very sick and my traveling companion proceeded to treat me with some tiny
sugary globules. I was astounded when I recovered within half an hour.
I eventually saw a homeopath for constitutional treatment; this was a
life changing experience for me. I soon realized that learning about this
very powerful medicine was going to be a significant part of my life.
In
September of 2002 I moved to Toronto I started my Homeopathic education
at the Ontario
College of Homeopathic Medicine.
I chose this school as the most comprehensive program I could find outside
of India. After finishing a grueling 3 year full time program and extensive
clinical internship I enthusiastically began my practice blending a mix
of my knowledge in energy systems, nutrition, and meditation with the
practice of homeopathy.
